Upon returning from the embassies, Tuesday afternoon proved to be a powerhouse of productivity and purpose at the 2025 International Leadership and Business Internship. The interns took major strides forward: meeting with their business partners, absorbing impactful lectures, and continuing to gain personalized guidance from their mentors.

The afternoon began with dedicated business partner meetings, where interns had the opportunity to ask more questions and get feedback from the ventures they’re supporting. These sessions allowed for thoughtful collaboration, clear goal-setting, and a better understanding of the impact their strategies will have throughout the week. Interns asked ginsightful questions, gathered key data, and continued to hone their infrastructure and marketing plans tailored to their partners' unique business landscapes.
Next, Gerald Gangaram inspired the cohort with his powerful session on “Leading with Purpose: Inspiring Exceptional Leadership.” Drawing on his international leadership experience, Gerald emphasized the role of empathy, authenticity, and vision in effective leadership. Through real-world case studies and personal anecdotes from his extensive military background, interns were challenged to reflect on their own values and leadership styles. The session underscored that exceptional leaders don’t just manage, they inspire.

The energy continued as Wendy Zajack led an engaging lecture on Advertising, Effective Sales Techniques, and Customer Service Excellence. With a mix of humor, storytelling, and expert insight, Wendy broke down how to communicate value, build trust with customers, and deliver memorable service experiences. Interns explored how different advertising channels and customer touchpoints can make or break a business and practiced refining their own sales pitches along the way.

Following that, Dania Merzi delivered a highly practical and insightful session on Financial Management, Budgeting, Pricing Strategies, and Managing Cash Flow. She demystified core financial principles and showed how understanding the numbers is essential to sustaining and scaling a venture. Interns were especially engaged as she walked them through real budgeting examples and showed how strategic pricing can influence profitability and growth. She also made her presentation interactive by splitting the interns into their teams and helping to answer questions they had. This session equipped them with tools to forecast, allocate resources, and make fiscally responsible decisions.
The day concluded with another round of mentor meetings, where interns once again sat down for one-on-one conversations with business professionals and global development leaders. These continued to be powerful moments of reflection and growth, where ideas were sharpened, confidence was built, and new connections were made.

From purposeful leadership to financial fluency, Tuesday afternoon offered a deep, well-rounded afternoon of growth that will carry interns forward as they refine their projects, strengthen partnerships, and step into their roles as global business leaders.
