On the second day of the International Leadership and Business Internship, interns had the opportunity to tour the Embassy of Argentina and learn about the cultural insights and international relations.

The visit began with a warm welcome by Marc Stanley, the Ambassador to the Embassy of Argentina in the US, who set the tone for an exciting day at the Argentine Embassy. Mr. Stanley spoke about Argentina’s role on the international stage, emphasizing the country’s commitment to foster global partnerships and cultural exchanges.

The highlight of the Embassy visit was when interns were offered a tour of the beautiful embassy building, providing interns a firsthand look into Argentinian culture, art, and historical artifacts. Argentina has a large cultural identity that reflects a large blend of European and South American influences, which all play a role in Argentina’s regional and global affairs. The Ambassador detailed that Argentina’s main diplomatic priorities include promoting sustainable development, improving the Argentinian economy, and advancing human rights.

Interns also had the chance to observe the daily operations of the Embassy staff, exploring how they facilitate international affairs daily while also promoting Argentine culture. Embassy staff shared their experiences working in diplomacy and offered valuable advice to interns aspiring to pursue a career in international relations or business.

The visit to the Embassy of Argentina is a powerful reminder of the importance of fostering global connections when it comes to international affairs and diplomacy and how connected each country’s economy is. As interns reflect on this visit, they are left with new knowledge and a deeper understanding of Argentina’s diplomatic significance and cultural heritage.
